Austin Living, Vlog

The number one rule in real estate is location, location, location. So what are the best Austin suburbs and the best cities to live in near Austin? This is where we break down the different neighborhoods, the schools, drive time to downtown Austin and what kind of home you can get for in the best Austin suburbs!

Round Rock, TX
Round Rock, TX is just a little bit Northeast of Austin. There are lots of restaurants, places to take your kids, parks and lots of really cool spots for families. It is fairly close to downtown Austin. During the day it will take you about 25-30 minutes and during rush hour, it will look more like 45 minutes to an hour.

Cedar Park, TX
Cedar Park, TX is Northwest of Austin. It is like a bedroom community with mostly neighborhoods and restaurants. It is a more quiet area and the drive to downtown Austin will take about the same time as Round Rock, TX.

Bee Cave, TX
Bee Cave, TX is Southwest of Austin. It is a really fun town with a good mix of shops, restaurants and outdoor activities, especially water activities. The drive to downtown Austin will take you about 30 minutes during the day and 45 minutes during rush hour.

Lakeway, TX
Lakeway, TX is a little bit further north from Bee Cave, TX. It has a lot of golf courses and it’s on the water with beautiful views. Dripping Springs is further west and has been more developed over the past few years. The homes are on bigger pieces of land and your neighbors are a little bit further apart. The drive to downtown Austin will be similar to Lakeway!

Leander, TX
Leander, TX is north of Cedar Park and is growing so much. There is a lot of development happening in Leander and it is really going to explode and grow in the next few years. The drive to downtown Austin is about 30 minutes during the day and 45-55 during rush hour.

Georgetown, TX
Georgetown, TX is just east of Leander, TX. There’s a lot of history in old Georgetown as well as some really good restaurants, craft beer bars, wineries and shops. It is like two different cities in one. A cool downtown area from the 1800’s and tons of new communities outside of the downtown area. To get to downtown Austin from Georgetown, your drive times are about 40 minutes during the day and 55-60+ during rush hour.

Liberty Hill, TX
Liberty Hill, TX is even further north of Leander and there is new construction moving up into this neighborhood with the focus on helping neighbors get to know each other and really build a community.
