I have found that this is not the case and Georgetown, TX is actually pretty purple. Georgetown is pretty diverse compared to Austin, TX. You will be interacting with people with different opinions and lifestyles.
Lie #3 – It’s just like any other suburb
Georgetown, TX is really unique and has lots of history, such as the first university in Texas, Southwestern University. Georgetown Square is one of the best preserved Victorian and Pre-WWI historic downtown districts.
Lie #4 – There’s not a whole lot to do in Georgetown, TX
Not only is there amazing downtown with restaurants, shops and wineries. Lake Georgetown is super close to downtown where you can find boating, water sports, camping, horseback riding and hiking. You also have events like the rodeo and music on the square (in the summer months).
Lie #5 – Georgetown is all residential and business to consumer growth
Georgetown, TX is one of the hottest sectors in the industrial market and there is a really big demand for the industrial space. There are a few developments going in – Northpark 35, Gateway 36 and a 12-acre flex & industrial complex.
